FOCUS ON THIS
Take a look through teal coloured frames at a fabulous crowd celebrating a collaboration of friendship and artistry. Artist Connor Tingley and Jerome Mage unveiled their latest partnership at the Jacques Marie Mage exhibition space in Abbot Kinney.
Powered by champagne and Hibiki whiskey, the good times rolled, friends hugged and new relationships were forged in a shared aesthetic.

Tingley told the crowd how he painted the Nun series in a personal exploration of judgment. The paintings were completed using the sfumato technique from the 15th century and then painted over with layer upon layer of paint, until the magic moment when guests were encouraged to use their cell phones to look at the images in the negative, revealing the painting underneath.
Alongside the paintings were a number of vitrines holding bits and pieces of Connor’s life, assembled together in a beautiful collage of sketch books, rings, assorted jewelry, books, keys, dice and personal paraphernalia.
Connor worked with JMM to produce a limited edition of 50 hand made, customised frames. Reimagining the classic Dealan in a colour scheme of teal, orange and white. The celebration reflected the partnership; a perfect collaboration between friendship, luxury and art.
