Charlotte Salomon

The artist Charlotte Salomon is featured in HUE.

In honor of holocaust day, writer and educator Candida Cave gives a lecture about the revered artist. Cave has explored the life, art and the inner world of Salomon in two plays. In the Hue issue, she gives us some insight into Salomon’s use of colour and the importance it played in her painting. Vibrant and alive, her work belies the dark subject of her life and times.
