Melrose Bellow

On Saturday November 12th 2016 we will be reading bits and pieces of literary snippets at 7.00 on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. Join us as the literary festival Melrose Bellow overtakes various commercial establishments and fills them with the spoken word!

The Laboratory will be appearing at 7.00 at L.A. Eyeworks, 7407 Melrose Avenue, L.A. 90046

In order of appearance:

INTRODUCING THE READERS WITH A SURREAL POEM WILL BE: NIGEL DALY, CO-FOUNDER OF THE LABORATORY, PUBLISHER, PRODUCER, POET AND PROVOCATEUR.

ALAN SELKA WILL BE READING SOME DYLAN (IT MIGHT BE BOB OR PERHAPS IT'S THOMAS, YOU SHALL HAVE TO ATTEND TO FIND OUT WHICH ONE).

Selka is a dandy, a literature lover, an aesthete and a butler or as he likes to put it, a life enhancement executive.

ELIZABETH KARR WILL BE READING FROM HER WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE IN THE REALMS OF DESIRE

Elizabeth Karr is John Alan Simon’s producing partner at Discovery Films.  She’s a producer of the feature film adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s novel, Radio Free Albemuth, starring Alanis Morissette, Jonathan Scarfe, Shea Whigham, Katheryn Winnick and Scott Wilson, written/directed by John Alan Simon.  Her documentaries include The Good Breast which premiered at Bentonville Film Festival in May 2016 and Devoti Tutti,  in post-production.  EK also produced Disney Channel pilot, Virtually Casey and several short films. First foray into producing was theatre—numerous critically acclaimed shows in LA. EK is also an actor in TV, film and theatre and a company member of Pacific Resident Theatre.
