Three things to do in October

Sign up for David Lynch’s theatre and hear what the weather is like in LA on a daily basis. We’re not sure why, but somehow this will get you through the week.

It’s the 2020 National Book Festival in America. And this year it’s all happened online over the weekend, but don’t despair, everything is on catch up. So snuggle up with your favorite book and listen to your favorite author talk about the why, the where, the who and the what.

We cannot be amongst the throng at the Hollywood Bowl, gazing up at the stars and listening to the likes of George Gershwin (hint: 8 mins into the video). Nor can we sway to the music of the Royal Albert Hall, clap furiously in Madison Square Gardens or enjoy any other fabulous music venue right now.

But if you close your eyes and turn out the lights, you can be transported to somewhere else, while the great Dudamel conducts and the LA Phil makes musical magic.

“Our world is forever changed, but our music has never felt more important.”
