Olga Pericet Company  La Espina

The Thorn That Dreamed of Being a Flower
or the Flower that Dreamed of Being a Dancer

Sat, September 21 @ 8:00PM
Ford Theatres
2580 Cahuenga Blvd. East
Hollywood, CA 90068

Versatile artist and magnetic dancer, Olga Pericet, is an award-winning dancer and one of the top names in Spanish flamenco. As “a mercurial presence and a fearless experimenter,” according to The New Yorker, Pericet’s polished technique and serene but serious presence captivates the audience from the very first moment she appears on the stage. For La Espina, Pericet embarks on a personal journey through dance, creating a world in which feminine and masculine, humor and drama appear in equal parts, and where the dark discovers the light.

Five artists - Heather McMillenKorin FaughtRobyn Breen ShinnYassi Mazandi and Zeal Harris.

These five artists discussed a single piece and the audience were invited to put on white gloves and look through the sketchbooks and diaries of the artists. Usually these sketchbooks are locked away in glass cabinets but on this night these women generously shared their working process with those who were lucky enough to be there. Guests left with the ultimate scent on their skin, Le Labo's - Rose 31 as featured in the HER issue.
