The Laboratory Arts Collective

Watch CALIFORNIA TYPEWRITER (The Movie). It's time to get cool with Tom Hanks and typewrite your thank you letters. Why? Because it's a connection between the human and the machine that is fast disappearing (you're the one in control ) and because it is FUN. Be sure to purchase your typewriter from CALIFORNIA TYPEWRITER (The Store the film is named after) and support the wonderful stars of the film. There's a revolution happening and apparently it's going to be typewritten.

Also featured in the film is artist Jeremy Mayer who makes his sculptures from old typewriters that are beyond repair. His works are made only with parts from the machines themselves, there is no welding or invisible wires holding his creations together.
